Pithi Ceremony
The Pithi ceremony is an auspicious ritual performed for good luck. Family members and well-wishers apply Pithi, a paste made mainly of turmeric, chickpea flour and rose water, on the bride/groom's skin to brighten and even the skin tone prior to the wedding ceremony.

Nikkah and Reception
The Nikkah ceremony is the Muslim marriage ritual in which the marriage contract is signed and the bride and groom say, “I do.” This is followed by an evening of dinner and dancing to celebrate the joining of the newlyweds and their families.*
